Social Responsibility

Our early efforts in sustainable development can be traced back to the design and construction stages of our first expressway project in early 90s, the GS Superhighway. From the outset, we anticipated the growing demand for operational efficiency; we thus built and managed the superhighway according to various sustainable development factors.

We strongly believe that sustainable operations and development are just as important as achieving long-term business growth. This has driven our commitment to corporate Sustainability, which is one of our strategic focuses.

We started to publish the Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Report since 2012 to provide more in-depth coverage of our sustainability initiatives and performance, as well as, to demonstrate our commitment to transparency and accountability to stakeholders. From 2016 onwards, our Sustainability Report will be prepared in accordance with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting Guide which is issued by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In order to thoroughly implement the ESG concept, establish a sound ESG management system, and continuously improve the quality of ESG information disclosure, our Sustainability Report has been renamed as Environmental, Social and Governance Report from 2021.
